Rebate reservations available for customers of
participating water agencies
Due to overwhelming public response, funding for the regional rebate program has been depleted, and rebate reservations are now available only in certain water agency service areas. This funding is limited and reservations will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis. Southern California commercial, industrial, institutional, and multi-family water customers may be eligible for rebate reservations from participating local agencies.

Since Sept. 21, 2009, the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California and its member public agencies have received 4,085 reservations for water-saving device rebates, thanks to the efforts of many Southern California individuals and organizations to increase water efficiency at work. This will result in more than 3,559 acre-feet of water to be saved annually. This savings was achieved in a year when parts of the region faced mandatory conservation for the first time since 1991 due to severe water supply problems in the state of California.
(This program classifies multi-family properties as apartments, condominiums, townhomes and mobile homes with five dwellings or more that are represented by a homeowners association or property management company.)
