Multi-Family Residential Rebate Program
Cash Rebates on Water Saving Devices for Apartments, Condominiums, Town Homes and Mobile Homes.
This program classifies multi-family properties as apartments, condominiums, townhomes, and mobile homes with five dwellings or more
that are represented by a Homeowners Association or property management company.
Note: Single Family Detached Homes, Duplexes, Triplexes and Fourplexes are Not Eligible for rebates through ‘Save A Buck’, but may qualify through the MWD's SoCal Water$mart residential rebate program. Please click link on left side of screen.
High-Efficiency Toilets
( dual flush or 1.28 gpf or less replacing an existing 1.6 gpf or higher, not replacing an existing 1.28 gpf toilet )
High-Efficiency Toilets (HETs) flush at 20 percent below a ULFT, equating to 1.28 gallons per flush. The average water savings for HETs is estimated to be 38 gallons per day (gpd) when replacing an average, non-efficient toilet and 7 gpd when replacing a ULFT.

High-Efficiency Washers water factor of 4.0 or less are eligible
If your washing machine is more than 5 years old, you may be paying too much on your utility bills. By installing a new, High Efficiency
Washer (HEW), you could reduce your energy and water costs by up to 50%. In addition to saving water, these state-of-the-art washing machines also help minimize drying time by extracting more water from the clothes during the spin cycle.
Only HEWs as identified on the Family Sized Clothes Washer Qualifying Product List with a water factor of 4.0 or less are eligible for rebate. Rebate for in-unit residential washers only.
* To qualify for rebates, you must be an existing water customer of one of Metropolitan Water District’s Family of Southern California Water Agencies. Not all water agencies are participating. Rebates vary by water agency and are subject to change.
